Fruit Friends has been launched!!!

The secrets - they all come out now!

This is the mega commission I'd been working on since March. Almost every thing you see on the site's main page, any cartoons, any animation, the backgrounds- that's me. Definitely not what I'm used to or the style I normally go for, but it was a great commission and a great experience.

Best fusion yet

I spent a good 6 hours on this guy. You can read the pokedex description here.
I was actually really surprised at how the line quality came out, I wasn't trying to go for that style and I've never done it before, but there it is and I'm darn proud of it.

Coincidentally, I've never felt so popular on Tumblr:

This fanart stuff really works. By the way, that Tumblr is and if you follow me and leave a comment that you did, I'll follow you back! Same with Blogger and Twitter

Remember a year ago when I said I was working on this? Well other stuff got in the way, but I finally opened it back up and here's where its gone:

Yup, did another one. And yup, he's got nipples. That was intentional.

So there's this new fad where you go to this site and create mismatched Poke-Frankensteins. Then you take what you come up with and do a fleshed out illustration of it. I got so excited by it, I pushed everything out of my schedule to do one... I'm such a nerd.

Thank you for your patience

This may or may not have been me the past two months:

And yes, there is a lot of symbolism in this picture.

I've been working real hard the past two months or so on a big commission. How big? Real big. So big that I don't feel comfortable talking about it because I signed some non-disclosure documents. Regardless, it has been a big step in my career and when the fruits of my labors are published and made available for public viewing, I will let you know.

Obviously, this big commission has kept me heavily occupied, mixed in with the semester's finals in mid-April, and a trip home to help out with family matters. I have not had much creative time to myself. On top of that, it's been a transitionary time in my life. My parents are selling their house, the one that I finished high school in, and downsizing to a small townhouse. I don't really know if I'll ever have the option of staying with them after this summer, and I certainly will never be able to in a house that I grew up in. So that's been on my mind, along with buying my first car, facing another sister's wedding, trying to build up relationships with my younger siblings while I still can (you know, before we all split up forever), helping my dad after rotator cuff surgery, and going through the past 2.5 decades worth of my stuff in storage and deciding what to keep and what to throw away.

By this weekend, I will be back in Provo and I will have a raging need for creative expression and the time to do it in. So in summary,  - - - Sorry I haven't posted much lately. I've been going through a lot. But I will be back in action soon, and stronger than ever!
