Christmas workflow

A few days before I left for home, my dad called me and proposed that I illustrate a 14-page book he wrote for my sister's Christmas present. I don't think either of us realized how much time I was going to spend on it or how much detail I would put in, but I accepted anyway. 60 hours later and here's the back cover image to The Butterfly and the Ants:


I've never worked so much during a Christmas break as I have this year. I've been doing artwork everyday up until yesterday, it being Christmas Eve. I'll post more pages up next time around.
